Foods To Eat to Lose Weight

There are a number of important factors to be considered in regards to what you should and should not be eating if you are desiring weight or fat loss. Excessive consumption of certain food groups will definitely be responsible for weight gain, fat gain and changing body shape. 

Foods such as chocolate, animal fat products, and anything cooked in animal fat (eg. Potato chips, roast lamb, mutton, hogget etc) any any foods containing more than 3 grams of fat per 100 grams total will be fattening and produce weight gain. Losing weight by changing the foods you eat really is a matter of dietary manipulation, substituting a current food selection for a future one. Supposing the current selection of food intake is undesirable, meaning it is high in fats and carbs and low in protein then, obviously you are going to want to turn that around, to some extent, or at least balance it out.

Foods to eat to lose weight include the likes of fresh fruit and vegetables, but not high carb veges, such as potato. Vegetables like tomato, carrot, any green veges such as cabbage, cauliflower, Brussell sprouts, spinach, broccoli etc is healthy in the extreme because they are low in fat and high in protein.

There does need to be some common sense used, however, as you cannot simply drop all fat intake and replace it immediately with protein. It needs to be balanced, gradual and any new diet must contain all of the food groups your body requires in order to stay healthy

Any diet you find is bound to contain a list of foods to eat to lose weight and probably all of them will work, at least to some extent, but only if you stick to the diet, monitor your intake and use other strategies as well. Things such as arresting the desire to snack between meals, monitor your food intake strictly and do some exercise are all part and parcel of a healthy weight loss program.

Failure to include the above mentioned items will create an imbalance in some areas. You may find that, having found a suitable list of foods to eat to lose weight, you go on the diet and neglect to do any exercise. Whichever way you look at it, the equation of staying healthy whilst losing weight needs to incorporate a fully fledged program and should not rely simply on changing the types of food you eat, or on any one aspect of weight loss, but instead needs to be focused on the problem as a whole, the cause of the weight gain and ways of eliminating and reversing the effects
